Our PhD student completed research internship at the University of Valencia

Michał Brzozowski, a PhD student in the Department of Hydrobiology, Adam Mickiewicz University, was on a monthly internship (February 2019) in the Institute “Cavanilles” of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology, University of Valencia (Spain). During the internship, Michał worked in the research group of prof. Marii A. Rodrigo. The internship aimed to learn about laboratory and field techniques related to charophyte cultivation. PhD student participated in a laboratory experiment “The influence of salinity on the life cycle of the most halotolerant charophyte species, Lamprothamnium papulosum, and other macrophytes”, and in the field experiment involving the introduction of the stonewort, Chara vulgaris, in the Tancat de la Pipa lagoon.
The internship was implemented as part of the project POWR.03.02.00-00-I022/16. This project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development.
